Port Malaya
where the old stories still bite
- malaya
- jungle port
A harbour town on an island where the folklore was never folklore.
Malaya is a working port with a jungle behind it, and the jungle keeps producing things the Church in Prontera has no word for. The locals do: they have names for the creature that sits on a sleeping person's chest and the witch who sends it, and they have been using those names for a very long time. Travellers who laugh at the stories tend not to sleep well.
