The Laphine crossed the Bifrost from Alfheim to investigate why Yggdrasil was sick, and built this garrison to do it. Their purifying devices melt the surrounding ice and hold back the winter, which is why Splendide has gardens in a land where nothing should grow. Around the garrison: Yai housing, workshops, and the quiet certainty of people who have been here longer than the expedition has.
