Lighthalzen — the company town

A prosperous city divided into a commercial district and a residential one, with the Rekenber Corporation standing in the middle of both.

Lighthalzen is what happens when a company is more competent than a government. Rekenber brought the prosperity, so Rekenber sets the rules: identity papers at the gate, movement logged, employment offered to everyone and therefore refused by nobody. The corporation's reputation is sterling. The city is spotless. The questions people ask about the laboratories are not asked twice.
