Ancient temples, tribal villages, a stone pagoda called Borobudur, and a lodge that rents rooms to honeymooners.
West of the town stands the pagoda, crowned with small shrines where visitors make wishes — for fortune, for power, for the usual things. North of it, a path leads to the village of the Jaty, who keep to themselves and treat polite visitors well. There is a colonial-era inn that looks like it was built by someone homesick for two different continents at once.
