The explorers came for the gold and stayed for the cooking. Ayothaya's people hold that the land is owed respect and that living well with it is the whole of religion; they took the strangers in without much fuss, which surprised everyone from Rune-Midgarts. The ocean lane links them to Amatsu and Kunlun.
